CANS/ANSA ASSESSMENTS

Immediate Support When It Matters Most
The Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) is a comprehensive, trauma-informed tool designed to help children, youth, and families tell their stories. Unlike traditional tests, the CANS is a "communication tool" that builds a shared vision between families and providers to ensure everyone is working toward the same goals. It is used to identify a child’s unique strengths to build upon, as well as specific needs that require support or intervention.

The Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA) is a collaborative tool designed to help you and your care team create a recovery plan that truly reflects your life. Rather than a simple diagnosis, the ANSA focuses on your unique story—identifying the strengths you already have and the needs where you require support.
